Needs VS Wants

This blog is about financial dommes and needing verses wanting which i think is a important distinction.

Growing up my mother taught me to be self reliant that if a needed something in my life i should be able to get it for myself because relying on others men in particular could be a dangerous game. This could've been because my mother was married 3 times once to a cheater once to a abuser and to my father finally, given that situation her first two husbands left her high and dry. In other words momma didn't raise no fool.

The important distinction here is that in a power exchange a domme is supposed to have her desires fulfilled to the the best of their subs ability. While subs and dommes are not equal once a dynamic has been established i think partially this is because the domme makes a point of not NEEDING but WANTING her sub. The dynamic becomes skewed if the domme has to have her sub to survive it kills the fantasy and often times if you ask the subs themselves the find dommes who need their subs to seem desperate. I personally don't want to be seen as a desperate woman. Also i find it more enriching for the relationship to make the sub feel wanted because then they know your not keeping them around because you have to but simply because you desire to have them there for their betterment and your amusement.

I've seen a lot of dommes begging like little puppy dogs for finsubs and not only does it reek of desperation but it also gives over all the power to the sub after all if they know you can't survive without them then their more likely to try to get away with more stuff such a disobedience topping from the bottom cheating etc because they know the likelihood of being dismissed is slim to none.

Now i'm not saying don't have a sub take on the privilege of paying your bills etc but always keep them aware that it is a privilege to do so because you can pay your own bills and them contributing to your bills is a special privilege that allows you to have extra money for doing other things. Arrogance in a submissive because they feel like they hold your life in their hands is not something i'd want in the slightest if it's something other dommes want then thats fine but i have my pride and i know i can handle and take care of myself.
